Carlin McClain
Field is named after the gentleman
who provided significant personal support to the Mauldin
High School baseball program and Mauldin community over many
years. Mr.
McClain made many contributions to the
Mauldin Maverick Baseball program, including the installation of the
field sprinkler system, grading the field and moving home plate from
it's original position in left-center field to where it is
today. Mr.
McClain did not even have a child playing
baseball. Carlin is fondly remembered by all who knew him, and
our players proudly compete on "his field".
